Preventative Medicine and Vaccinations

Comprehensive wellness examinations help us to detect health issues in their early stages and prevent disease. It's also a great way to get any questions answered that you may have about your pet. We strive to customize vaccination schedules based on the age and lifestyle of your pet, and our protocols evolve as new research emerges.

Additionally, we recommend the Home Again® microchip system for pet recovery.  This procedure can be done during your routine wellness exam, and is commonly performed at the time of spay or neuter surgery.

We offer a full range of surgical services from routine spay and neuter to mass removals and more. Our focus is on patient safety using the most current anesthesia protocols and optimal pain management.  Patients requiring more specialized surgical procedures may be referred to a surgical facility.

Routine dental cleaning and oral health assessment is an important aspect of overall health. We are able to provide affordable and tailored dentistry packages including polishing and scaling teeth, digital dental radiography, and tooth extractions when indicated.

General

General Medicine and Sick Visits

For pets visiting for a sudden illness or injury, we are able to utilize prompt and thorough examinations with our experienced veterinarians and in-house diagnostics to quickly diagnose your pet and get them on the road to recovery.

During your pet’s visit for a chronic illness, we can review ongoing health issues, recheck bloodwork, adjust medications, assess weight, nutrition, and more to optimize your pet’s health program.

Pain management is a key aspect of patient care and is of utmost importance to us, especially for geriatric and palliative care. We offer the latest pain management strategies for both acute and chronic conditions.  We can discuss your pet’s specific issues and devise a plan to best meet his or her needs.

Appointments

We are able to offer drop-off appointments for convenience and ease of scheduling. This allows us to accommodate sick and urgent pets day-of that otherwise would not be able to be seen.

Additionally, we may schedule your pet stay with us for a few hours if their case requires a more involved medical work-up - including bloodwork, radiographs, minor sedated procedures, and more.

Laboratory and Imaging Services

Our in-house IDEXX-based laboratory is equipped to perform complete blood counts, biochemical profiles, electrolyte analysis, and urinalyses. We can also test for heartworm disease, some tick-borne diseases, internal parasites, and feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses. For more advanced testing, including hormonal assays and histology, we utilize national and local veterinary laboratory services.

Our on-site radiology services are used to perform bone and soft tissue studies. When extra information is necessary, contrast studies may also be performed. In addition to our in-house radiology services, we have board-certified radiologists available via a tele-radiology service.

We are able to offer in-house ultrasonography services for certain examinations (bladder imaging, cystocentesis, pregnancy diagnosis) with our veterinarians, or in consultation with an ultrasonographer who visits the clinic on a routine basis.

Most of your prescriptions can be filled at our pharmacy during your appointment. We offer competitive pricing for many maintenance health products, including heartworm and flea & tick preventatives. If necessary, we also utilize the services of a compounding pharmacy or local human pharmacies.
