Preventative Medicine and Vaccinations

Comprehensive wellness examinations help us to detect health issues in their early stages and prevent disease. It's also a great way to get any questions answered that you may have about your pet. We strive to customize vaccination schedules based on the age and lifestyle of your pet, and our protocols evolve as new research emerges.

Additionally, we recommend the Home Again® microchip system for pet recovery.  This procedure can be done during your routine wellness exam, and is commonly performed at the time of spay or neuter surgery.

Surgery and

Dentistry

We offer a full range of surgical services from routine spay and neuter to mass removals and more. Our focus is on patient safety using the most current anesthesia protocols and optimal pain management.  Patients requiring more specialized surgical procedures may be referred to a surgical facility.

Routine dental cleaning and oral health assessment is an important aspect of overall health. We are able to provide affordable and tailored dentistry packages including polishing and scaling teeth, digital dental radiography, and tooth extractions when indicated.

General Medicine and Sick Visits

For pets visiting for a sudden illness or injury, we are able to utilize prompt and thorough examinations with our experienced veterinarians and in-house diagnostics to quickly diagnose your pet and get them on the road to recovery.

During your pet’s visit for a chronic illness, we can review ongoing health issues, recheck bloodwork, adjust medications, assess weight, nutrition, and more to optimize your pet’s health program.

Pain management is a key aspect of patient care and is of utmost importance to us, especially for geriatric and palliative care. We offer the latest pain management strategies for both acute and chronic conditions.  We can discuss your pet’s specific issues and devise a plan to best meet his or her needs.

Nutrition

The world of pet nutrition has become increasingly complicated, and we are here to help! From recommendations for feeding your new large breed puppy to the nutritional management of kidney failure or hyperthyroidism, we have your back.

We are also happy to review or recommend supplements as well based on a patient's individual needs and supporting scientific evidence for a particular product.

We stock many commonly used veterinary prescription diets from Hill's Science Diet, Purina, and Royal Canin, and can special order food for an individual patient.

Urgent and Emergency Services

We understand that sometimes things happen that are unplanned, and we are here to help! If you have urgent concerns about your pet's health or if your pet is experiencing an emergency, please give us a call at 603-298-8381 to get the urgent care you need. We do our best to accommodate urgent care visits during our normal hours, and utilize our local referral hospitals when your pet needs involved specialty care and hospitalization for the best outcome.

Drop-off

Appointments

We are able to offer drop-off appointments for convenience and ease of scheduling. This allows us to accommodate sick and urgent pets day-of that otherwise would not be able to be seen.

Additionally, we may schedule your pet stay with us for a few hours if their case requires a more involved medical work-up - including bloodwork, radiographs, minor sedated procedures, and more.

Diagnostics:

Laboratory and Imaging Services

Our in-house IDEXX-based laboratory is equipped to perform complete blood counts, biochemical profiles, electrolyte analysis, and urinalyses. We can also test for heartworm disease, some tick-borne diseases, internal parasites, and feline leukemia and immunodeficiency viruses. For more advanced testing, including hormonal assays and histology, we utilize national and local veterinary laboratory services.

Our on-site radiology services are used to perform bone and soft tissue studies. When extra information is necessary, contrast studies may also be performed. In addition to our in-house radiology services, we have board-certified radiologists available via a tele-radiology service.

We are able to offer in-house ultrasonography services for certain examinations (bladder imaging, cystocentesis, pregnancy diagnosis) with our veterinarians, or in consultation with an ultrasonographer who visits the clinic on a routine basis.

Pharmacy Services

Most of your prescriptions can be filled at our pharmacy during your appointment. We offer competitive pricing for many maintenance health products, including heartworm and flea & tick preventatives. If necessary, we also utilize the services of a compounding pharmacy or local human pharmacies.

At-Home Services

*Please note certain services are suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic*

It isn't always possible for a patient or their owner to travel to our clinic, and we are happy to be able to provide house calls within a defined region. Most of our current patients are within our call range!

From routine wellness examination and vaccination for the kitty that prefers the comfort of his or her own home, to quality of life assessments and euthanasia for large breed dogs, we are able to help bring necessary care a bit closer for our patients! Give us a call to see if this may be an option for you.

End of Life Care

Making the decision to say goodbye to a pet is never easy, and we are here for you. From palliative care options to manage pain, stress, and appetite in a sick animal to quality of life assessment, we want to make sure all of our patients have the dignity and comfort they deserve.

We are able to offer euthanasia services in the clinic, outside in our beautiful Memorial Garden, or at home with advanced scheduling. A home euthanasia surrounded by family can be such a special and stress-free way to say goodbye- give us a call for more information.

Cremation services are also offered.

Additional Services

In addition to all the services listed above, we are happy to provide reproductive, behavioral, and other consultations as well as some grooming services, including sedation as necessary, for feline patients.

Specialized care such as cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and cases requiring surgical or internal medicine specialists can also be arranged through our office with one of the several excellent referral hospitals within a 1 to 2 hour drive.

If you are interested in these services or others, please let us know when booking your appointment such that we can address anything you may need!
